Hyde Rail Disaster
Who helped ?
A farmer heard the train crash, he ran 1.5km to get help. It was one and a half hours before the rescuers came. Some of the passengers were trapped in the wreckage for over six hours. The people in the back carriages also helped the injured passengers as much as they could. The farmer found his son on the same train. His son was killed on the train.
