Hidden Worlds
| Fossils and Dinosaurs have been the buzz words around school all week. The pupils have made fossils, drawn and discribed dinasaurs, recited dinasaur poems and written "So you want to be a Palaeontologist" brochures. |

| 30 million years! That is the age of the fossils that we were extracting from the limestone near Duntroon yesterday. We had a fascinating time visiting the Vanished Worlds Centre. The students learnt about metamorphic, sedimentary and igneous rocks. They saw some of the amazing fossils that have been found in the area. Then came the best part – finding their own fossils to keep! Although Max did his best to plunge down a sink hole, and Tremayne did succeed in plunging a palaeontologist’s tool into his finger, we came through the day relatively unscathed. |
